BJC Republic Day Drive to Mallappa Konda
Jeepers from Bangalore Jeep Club celebrated the Republic Day in true Jeep style, driving to Mallappa Konda with tricolour flags on their Jeeps.
Mallappa Konda is a hill with a Shiva Temple atop, located right at the confluence of borders of three Indian states — Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh.
Original Plan
A day-long event covering 200 km round trip:
- 11:00 AM: Start from Bagalur (Bagalur-Berikai Road)
- Drive to Berikai via Bagalur — a wonderful jungle drive
- Drive through a narrow hill road to reach Nachikuppam, native place of Rajinikanth
- Continue to Mallappa Konda — the highest point near Krishnagiri, explore off-road tracks
- Drone shots from the tank bund
- Drive to KGF including some hill roads
- Visit Cyanide Hills (conditional: if open)
- Drive on the grasslands of BEML
- Coffee at Zion Golf Resort to end the day
