? Hello Everyone,
I have a Jeep compass longitude version. Recently I moved to new location where the parking is at a higher elevation. Whenever I take the car to the parking, due to lower ground clearance (because of bit longer front bumper lip), it always touches the ground. In the recent models, I see that it is shorter. So I thought of replacing it. Did any one face the same issue and replace it in the past?

Thanks Abhinav. I also got it replaced two weeks back. It costed me Rs. 1600. Actual price is 1900. I got it for 15% discount from PPS motors. After changing, the problem also solved and I feel like the ground clearance has increases a lot.December 17, 2020 at 4:27 am #10128abhinavParticipant@abgpt
That’s good to hear, it does change overall experience.June 20, 2021 at 7:33 pm #12081mathewantonyjohnParticipant@mathewantonyjohn
Removing the lower lip may affect the aerodynamics of the jeep when in high speeds. It diverts the air from centre to sideways to reduce the airflow going under the vehicle and thereby reducing the lift.
Anyways many jeepers are removing it :D. I personally consider better ground clearance more useful than the high speed stability.July 19, 2021 at 6:23 am #12086Dr Sreejith MDParticipant@dr-sreejith-md
Hi all I really loves the front bumper of Trailhawk varient. I own a longitude plus AT 2020 varient . Is there any way to get the regular front bumper replaced with the same of Trailhawk ??
